Dr. Tariq Hassan is an attorney and advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan who is currently the Chairman of the Audit Oversight Board of Pakistan and Member, Board of Directors, State Bank of Pakistan. He is a former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and has also served as an adviser to the Finance Minister of Pakistan on matters relating to law and economics. He has also been associated as Legal Counsel with the World Bank in Washington, DC, International Fund for Agriculture Development in Rome, and Shearman & Sterling in New York. Dr. Hassan has done his PhD in Juridical Science from Harvard Law School, USA. In addition to practicing law, he has been an adjunct professor of law at George Washington University and Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy in USA, and Department of Laws at LUMS University and International Islamic University in Pakistan.
